The 15th Hong Kong Inter-Primary School Debating Competition – Finals and Awards Ceremony
The 15th Hong Kong Inter-Primary School Debating Competition, organised by Po Leung Kuk, co-organised and sponsored by Tin Ka Ping Foundation, was held successfully at the Lecture Hall of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Building.on 24th May 2025. Our Chairman, Mrs Amanda T W LEE, JP delivered an opening speech and Board Members including Mr Louie S N LAM attended and supported the event.
Well-known professionals from different fields were served as our honourable judges for the competition. The final debate topic was " Should pets be fully allowed on buses". After an exciting competition, Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School won the Champion, ‘My Favourite Debator’ Award and ‘The Best Debator’ Award. PLK HKTA Yuen Yuen Primary School won the 1st Runner-up.
Since this year marks the 15th anniversary of the competition, a commemorative video was specially produced, featuring interviews with past award-winning debaters. They regarded the competition as a significant milestone in their growth, and one of them has even become a debate coach nowadays.
