Principal Education Secretary (Pre-Primary and Primary Education)

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to DCEO and CEO, the incumbent will work with the Po Leung Kuk Board to manage Po Leung Kuk affiliated kindergartens and primary schools for provision of quality education;
  • Work closely with principals to oversee the administration of schools (including personnel, curriculum management, resource allocation, team building) to enhance school efficiency and education quality;
  • Lead inter-school and territory-wide initiatives to boost school cooperation, enhance social influence and obtain educational resources for schools; 
  • Act as School Manager for kindergartens and primary schools to oversee education services and monitor the effectiveness of School Management Committees/Incorporated Management Committees and schools;
  • Other duties as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in education;
  • At least 10 years’ experience in education or related sector; management experience in a school setting is desirable;
  • Familiar with Hong Kong’s education system and related policies, with sound knowledge about early childhood or primary education system a plus;
  • Possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong organizational and execution power;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
